COVID-19

The world has changed as we know it.

This virus has taken the way of life that we once knew, it has changed the landscape of the planet, and it has allowed us no certainty for the future. Life as we know it. Normal will now be a different reality with different truths about our world. There is not much anyone can agree on in a global, national, or local level on how to combat the virus from spreading. This entire paragraph sounds like a first chapter of an apocalyptic novel filled with sci-fi twists. Alas, this is a true concept and although we are not walking around as zombies…we might as well be.

Here’s what we know to be factual. This term I use loosely as nothing in this day an age can be irrefutably true. However, this information is in that spectrum of factual due to the amount of sources that are relating it. COVID-19 is real but the nature in which it was developed is disputed wildly. The reaction of most countries had been too slow and too lax to save lives. The economy will crash if United States decides to remain in a “stay at home” state.

As we continue this ride globally people brace themselves for new information every hour. It is a time in which each individual is experiencing a range of emotions. A lot of people that I know are Quarentined and listening to the government, some people mostly of the older generations are not heeding warnings and traveling even though they are higher risk, and finally people like me are still working amidst the chaos or rather the quiet.

I can’t even begin to express what this virus has shown us about our current society. So many lessons are being taught by this pandemic and the real question is: will we listen?

What has your esperience been during this epidemic?
